Classes

At TSC we sail and race the following classes:

In addition, free sailing is open to any class of monohull, non-fixed keel sailing boat of less than 16 feet.

We have members who free-sail the following boats:

GP14

GP 14's are a 'General Purpose' 14 ft sailing dinghy which can be sailed by a crew of two or single-handed. In addition to inland sailing GP 14's can also be sailed offshore.

Laser

Lasers are single-handed Bermudan-rigged dinghies - fast and fun ! We have two club lasers which can be hired for training or racing.

Optimist

The Optimist, or more commonly (and affectionately) referred to as the 'Oppy', is the dinghy for children from the age of 6. It is ideal for those learning to sail and perfect for getting afloat for the first time. It is extremely safe and stable.     

We have two club Oppies in which kids can learn to sail. If they get bitten by the sailing bug there is a brisk trade in second-hand Optimists at reasonable prices.
